Sudoku Player UK is a free online Sudoku game. Choose from four difficulty levels — Easy, Mild, Medium and Hard — and play as many puzzles as you like, with no account needed. Pencil marks show the possible numbers for every empty square, a limited number of hints can help when you're stuck, and you can undo mistakes as you go. Every puzzle has exactly one solution.
A Sudoku grid has 9 rows, 9 columns and nine 3×3 boxes. Fill every empty square with a number from 1 to 9 so that each row, each column and each 3×3 box contains every number exactly once. Start with the squares that have only one possible number, then use what you've placed to work out the next ones. Pick a number on the pad, then tap a square to place it — or use your keyboard.
The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same puzzle each day, so your time can be compared fairly. Complete it to see how you rank against other players and to build a daily streak. Create a free account to appear on the leaderboard — you only need an email address, a display name and your country.
Stuck on a hard puzzle? Training Mode doesn't just give you the answer — it explains the technique that applies, from Naked and Hidden Singles to Pairs, Pointing Pairs, Box/Line Reduction, X-Wing and Swordfish, so you can learn to solve harder puzzles yourself. You can also set a checkpoint before an educated guess and jump back to it if it turns out wrong.
Manual Entry lets you type in a Sudoku from a newspaper or magazine and play it here, with the same pencil marks, hints and Training Mode support. See the guide for everything the game can do.
